To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many county probation services have framed explicit statements of local objectives.

[holding answer 8 February 1989]: Fifty four area probation services have produced statements of local objectives in one form or another. One has produced a statement of local priorities and one a review of local objectives, priorities and tasks.
