§ Mr. Sedgemore
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what is the allocated grant to London Regional Transport and its subsidiaries for 1988–89; and what estimates have been made for the next five years.

§ Mr. Portillo
The grant to London Regional Transport for 1988–89 will be £190 million. The estimated grant requirement for 1989–90 is £286.6 million. Estimates have not been made for later years.
