§ Mr. RentonDetails of the number of deferrals of removal granted in the months of October, November and December 1988 are as follows:
Number October 175 November 153 December 150 Weekly totals for this period are not readily available. There are no central records of the number of deferrals of removal requested by hon. Members during this period.
As to the number of requests for deferral of removal in the first three weeks of January 1989, I refer the hon. Member to my reply of 16 January to the hon. Member for Edinburgh, Central (Mr. Darling) at column 6.
