To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he proposes to make a statement on any changes to the home improvement grant entitlement regime.

Mr. Trippier

The Local Government and Housing Bill, published today, contains provisions introducing a new system of home improvement grants to replace those in part XV of the Housing Act 1985. Entitlement for grant will depend on an applicant's financial resources.
