To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will give details of the amount of rural conversion grant paid out by his Department each year since its introduction; and if he will make a statement as to the future of the grant.

The rural conversion grant scheme is operated by the Welsh Development Agency (WDA) and the Development Board of Rural Wales (DBRW) in their respective territories. Since the scheme's inception these bodies have made grant payments shown in the following table:
