§ Mrs. RoeTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many persons above the age of(a) 60, (b) 65 and (c) 70 years he has appointed to public bodies in each of the last 10 years.
§ Mr. Sainsbury[pursuant to the reply, 6 December 1989, c. 233]: I am unable to provide the full information requested by the hon. Member, as the figures are not held centrally and could not be assembled without disproportionate cost. I can state, however, that we are aware of 38 persons over the age of 60 having been appointed by my right hon. Friend.
