§ Mr. EggarThere were 163 projects carried out for my Department in 1988–89. The cost of these surveys in the 1988–89 financial year was £4,047,977. Outside research contractors carried out 158 of these projects, accounting for 99 per cent. of the total expenditure. I have placed details of each survey in the Library.
