Mr. Robin Cook

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the policy of the Metropolitan police on releasing the telephone numbers of London ambulance stations to members of the public.

I understand from the Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis that he would advise the public to use the existing 999 emergency system.
