Whether it is still the case, as stated by Lord Young of Graffham on 14th November 1988, (H.L. Deb. col. 908) that "There are no plans to establish a department of environmental analysis in the Treasury"; and if there is no such department, how the Treasury formulates its environmentally significant decisions.
The Paymaster General (The Earl of Caithness)There are no such plans.. Environmental issues are relevant to a number of policy areas of concern to the Treasury and are taken into account as appropriate by the divisions responsible for advice on them.
