§ Mr. AtkinsFrom Tuesday 12 December eastbound traffic on Severn bridge was restricted to a single lane in the interests of road safety due to unexpected difficulties with skid resistance on the new road surface. This caused6W extensive delays. Two-lane working was restored on Friday 15 December. The underlying cause of the problem is being investigated.
