§ Mr. WaddingtonI have received representations from a number of members of the British Polio Fellowship about programme quality and diversity in relation to commercial television. The provisions in the Broadcasting Bill relating to Channels 3, 4 and 5 give the Independent Television Commission the necessary powers to ensure the maintenance of proper standards in these areas.
