§ Mr. MacleanThe slaughter of any livestock whose meat is intended for sale must be carried out in accordance with statutory welfare conditions. The food advisory committee is to undertake a review of food labelling and will be considering very carefully the question of additional labelling to indicate farming practices and methods of slaughter.
