Whether they will defer consideration of the recommendations of the Wilding Report until the wider question of departmental an d ministerial responsibility for the arts, radio and television, films and cinema, heritage collections, entertainment and sport has been examined.

No. The Minister for the Arts hopes to announce his response to Mr. Wilding's recommendations as soon as possible in the New Year.

Whether they will reject the recommendation in the Wilding Report for the Crafts Council to be merged into the Arts Council.

The Minister for the Arts has announced that he will be taking no decisions on the Wilding Report until the New Year. He has invited interested parties to send him written responses to Mr. Wilding's recommendations before 31st December.
