§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyThe Department has received more than 300 representations on this question but compensation is a matter for the courts.
Recently we announced that an additional £19 million has been offered to the Macfarlane Trust, again on an entirely ex gratia basis. For the details I refer the hon.
