HL Deb 06 December 1989 vol 513 cc969-70WA
Lord Sefton of Garston

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they are aware of the need for a replacement building for junior pupils at the Much Woolton RC Primary School; and, if so, what action is proposed.

Viscount Davidson

My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Education and Science is aware of the need for a replacement building for the junior pupils at this school. Liverpool Education Authority has included a project to replace the junior school premises in its plans for education capital expenditure in 1990–91. The Department of Education and Science is currently considering these proposals and expects to announce shortly before Christmas the level of expenditure by the governors of voluntary aided and special agreement schools on which grant can be paid by the Secretary of State.
