§ Mr. MacleanMy Department's primary concern has been with the performance of microwave ovens in reheating already cooked food. As far as cooking from raw is concerned, the Ministry has not undertaken an assessment of oven performance compared with manufacturers' instructions but users can apply exactly the same tests to ensure that food is fully cooked as they do when using other means of cooking.
