§ The Prime MinisterExcellent progress is being made in the regeneration of our inner cities under the Government's action for cities programmes. In developing our policies for the future we will seek to develop a genuine partnership between all those involved in the regeneration of their areas. The Government are working with business, local government, the voluntary sector and local people to build on the progress already made and to ensure that the pace of inner-city regeneration is maintained.
