§ Mr. AtkinsWe have done much to develop approaches to traffic calming in recent years. We encourage local highway authorities to consider the opportunities for traffic calming measures in their general planning of highways investment. We are looking into the possibility of earmarking funds for the implementation of local road safety schemes, some of which can include traffic calming.
