To ask the Minister for the Arts what consideration he has given to the findings of the report published by the National Campaign for the Arts "The Northern Region: Making Ends Meet;" and if he will make a statement.

[holding answer 25 April 1989]: The funding of regional arts associations is a matter for the Arts Council. I understand that the chairman of the Arts Council has already written to the National Campaign for the Arts about the report.
