To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he last attended a meeting of the Council of Science Ministers in the European Community; and if he will make a statement.

My right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster represents the United Kingdom at the Community's Council of Ministers (Research). He last attended a meeting of the Council on 14 March and gave a full report to the House in the reply given to the hon. Member for Ynys MÔn (Mr. Jones) on 7 April, at columns 314–15.
