§ The Prime MinisterThe Government have not changed their policy on defence sales to Iraq. Applications for export licences continue to be considered on a case-by-case basis, according to the guidelines as announced in the House by the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary on 29 October 1985 at column454, and in the light of developments in the peace negotiations with Iran.
