What steps they are taking to publicise 40 years of peace through NATO by, for example, the use of postal slogans.
§ The Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office (Lord Glenarthur)We are publicising 40 years of peace through NATO in a variety of ways. A postal slogan was used by the Post Office between 28th March and 11th April. It appeared on some 46 million items of mail. A flag-raising ceremony was held at Northwood, headquarters of the NATO Commander-in-Chief for the Channel, on 4th April. An exhibition celebrating 40 years of NATO will be touring the country during the next few months; and a panal of NATO experts are giving public briefings. There will also be a NATO item in the Royal Tournament.
