Mr. Galbraith

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what consideration he is giving to the number of overseas patients that can be treated in the self-managing hospitals proposed in the White Paper "Working for Patients".

Mr. Michael Forsyth

We are considering how treatment of overseas patients in National Health Service hospitals, including self-governing hospitals, might best be administered in the context of the White Paper and the associated working papers.

Mr. Galbraith

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many representations he has received on the White Paper "Working for Patients".

Mr. Michael Forsyth
