asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will issue guidance to local authorities, industry and the public on the best and safest methods of disposal of "ozone hostile" aerosols or other objects containing CFCs.

The Government regularly consult representatives of all industrial users of CFCs. Advice is already available about recycling of certain refrigerants and solvents. Officials from the Department of the Environment will shortly be meeting representatives of local authorities to consider what practical information and advice might be helpful in reducing emissions of CFCs.
