To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will estimate at what date the Government will recover its spending outlay on the student loans scheme proposed in the White Paper "Top-up Loans for Students".
On the basis of the assumptions outlined in annex E of the White Paper and measured in terms of the cumulative net PSBR effect, the spending outlay will be recovered by 2013. If the cost of the access funds are included, the outlay will be recovered by 2015.

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement about the number of representations he has received for and against the Government's students loan plans.117W
