§ Mr. Peter BottomleySection 48 of the Civil Aviation Act 1949, which provided power to give effect in the United Kingdom to the Rome convention 1933 relating to damage caused by aircraft to third parties on the surface, was never brought into operation. It was repealed by section 26 of the Civil Aviation Act 1968.
