In 1987 the United Kingdom cattle kill (including calves) was 4,113,000 head.

In 1987 the United Kingdom sheep and lamb kill was as follows:

  1. (1) Ewes and rams—1,535,000 head;
  2. (2) Other sheep and lambs—14,228,000 head.
