To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will state the latest available figures by land and type of technical assistance and bilateral aid given to Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Guatemala, E1 Salvador, Belize, and Mexico; and when was the last time a project for such aid or assistance was approved for Nicaragua.

1 Provided through the Commonwealth Development Corporation.

The last direct bilateral aid to Nicaragua was for scholarships which finished in 1986. We have also provided aid for projects jointly funded with British voluntary agencies.
