§ Mr. EggarIn the diplomatic wing, there are currently 145.5 vacancies in all grades amounting to 2.6 per cent, of total complement. The majority are in clerical and technical support grades though the number in any grade fluctuates from month to month with changes in operational requirements and the recruitment cycle.
In the aid wing, there are 58 vacancies in all grades amounting to 10.9 per cent, of total complement. The majority are in clerical, secretarial and other support grades.

§ Mr. EggarIn the diplomatic wing of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, local pay addition is being paid to a total of 927 members of staff, in the following grades:
