To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what are the annual salaries and allowances payable to each of the part-time Crown Estate Commissioners.

[holding answer 19 October 1988]: The combined salaries and allowances payable to the part-time Crown Estate Commissioners are as follows:

  • First Commissioner and Chairman of the Board—£25,524 a year.
  • Two part-time Commissioners—£9,940 a year each.
  • Four part-time Commissioners—£7,940 a year each
