To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he last met the Prime Minister of Spain; and what subjects were discussed.

My right hon. and learned Friend the Foreign Secretary's last meeting with the Prime Minister of Spain was on 27 November 1987. They discussed EC matters and Gibraltar.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the current state of Anglo-Spanish relations.

Anglo-Spanish relations are excellent, as shown by the recent visit by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister and the current state visit by Her Majesty The Queen.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he has any plans to visit Spain.

My right hon. and learned Friend the Foreign Secretary is in Spain at the moment in attendance upon Her Majesty The Queen during her state visit.
