Mr. A. Cecil Walker

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether the Housing Executive or any other Government body is funding new premises for the Divis joint development committee; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Needham

I understand that there have been consultations between the executive and the committee about a possible alternative site for new premises, since the committee's present premises are scheduled for demolition. Neither the executive nor any other Government Department has proposals at present to fund any new premises.

Mr. A. Cecil Walker

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what information he has as to whether the Divis joint development committee has applied to the International Fund for Ireland for contributions; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Ian Stewart

This is a matter for the board of the International Fund for Ireland. I have arranged to have the question referred to the chairman.
