To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the current state of Anglo-Spanish relations in the light of the continuing restrictions imposed by Spain on British military aircraft wishing to use Gibraltar airport.

I refer my hon. Friend to my answer to the hon. Member for Hexham (Mr. Amos). We continue to press the Spanish authorities to lift the restrictions imposed on British military aircraft using Gibraltar airport, but regrettably they have not yet done so.
