To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science why the universities superannuation scheme is no longer transferable to the National Health Service superannuation scheme; and if he will make a statement.

I understand that accrued pension benefits in the universities superannuation scheme are transferred to the National Health Service superannuation scheme on a regular and substantial basis.
