To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs when he last discussed human rights with a representative of the Government of China.

My right hon. and learned Friend discussed human rights with the then Chinese Foreign Minister, Wu Xueqian, when he visited the United Kingdom in March 1988.
