To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security what proportion of social fund benefits to date has been used.

As at 30 September 1988 gross expenditure on the discretionary part of the social fund was 34 per cent. of the budget for budgeting loans and crisis loans and 18.5 per cent. of the budget for community care grants.

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security whether he will list in theOfficial Report the reallocations of local office social fund budgets that have taken place since the budgets were announced on 4 November 1987 and the periods to which the reallocated budgets relate.
