§ Mr. Tom KingWe shall be assessing the working of the Intergovernmental Conference in the course of the review under article 11 of the Agreement. Generally, I believe that the Agreement can bring considerable benefit to all law-abiding people in Northern Ireland.
§ 25. Mr. FlanneryTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement on the purpose of the review of the Anglo-Irish Agreement.
§ Mr. Tom KingArticle 11 of the Agreement makes clear that the purpose of the review of the working of the Intergovernmental Conference is to see whether arty changes in the scope or nature of its activities are desirable.
§ Mr. LewisTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he expects the review of the Anglo-Irish agreement to have been completed.
§ Mr. Tom KingAs the two Governments announced in the statement issued after the meeting of the Intergovernmental Conference on 2 November, we expect the review of the working of the conference to be completed in the early part of 1989.
