§ Mr. MellorThe Department does not collect figures in the form requested. The number of place of safety orders is collected annually and the return does not identify separately children removed to a place of safety because of sexual abuse. However in this particular case I have asked the county council to provide the detailed information. I will write to my hon. Friend when it has been received.
