To ask the Secretary of State for Health when he intends to respond in detail to the first report on AIDS and drug misuse by the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs; and whether he will make a statement.

Earlier this week I wrote to the chairman of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs to give the Government's detailed response to the council's first report on AIDS and drug misuse. I have arranged for copies of the response to be placed in the Library.
