HC Deb 07 November 1988 vol 140 c66W
Mr. Boswell

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he has any changes to announce to the running cost limit for the Office of Population Censuses and Surveys for 1988–89.

Mrs. Currie

Subject to parliamentary approval of the necessary Supplementary Estimate, the gross running cost limit for OPCS (Class XX Vote 16) will be increased by £44,000 from £38,052,000 to £38,096,000 reflecting increased expenditure by OPCS on services provided to the Department of Economic Development (Northern Ireland) and the Department of Health (Northern Ireland). The Northern Ireland departmental gross running costs limit will be correspondingly reduced by £44,000. There is no overall increase in running costs as a result of these changes. The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland will make an announcement in due course.
