To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list those local authorities which estimated 5.1 per cent. or more of the private sector housing stock in their areas as being vacant at 1 April.

The following 57 English housing authorities have estimated, in their housing investment programme returns, that 5.1 per cent. or more of the private sector housing stock (owner-occupied and private rented) in their areas was empty at 1 April 1988.
