§ Mr. Frank FieldTo ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will give an undertaking to check in 12 months on the well-being of the children noted in his inspectorate report, "Survey of Child Protection Services in London", to be on the at risk register of London boroughs and not currently attached to a social worker.
§ Mr. MellorIt is for the local authorities concerned to ensure that this high priority service is properly and effectively carried out. The social services inspectorate is monitoring closely the situation with regard to child protection services in London and will continue to advise on remedial measures that may he necessary.
