To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he proposes any further action to combat litter.

The Tidy Britain Group reports good progress on the programme of experimental projects launched by the Prime Minister earlier this year. The projects incorporate before and after studies to measure their effectiveness. We shall consider what further action is desirable in the light of lessons drawn from the programme in a review at the end of the year.
