§ The Attorney-GeneralThe initial correspondence from the office of the solicitor to the borough of Torfaen was received on 26 January 1988 and was formally acknowledged on that day. The points of law raised by the ruling to which the hon. Member refers have since been considered by officials and are under consideration by me. I expect to reach my decision shortly, whereupon it will be communicated to the borough solicitor.
