§ Mr. NewtonI regret that this information is not held centrally. Figures on the latest number of reported cases of AIDS, by regional health authority are published monthly. Similar statistics on reported HIV antibody positive persons are published quarterly. Copies are available in the Library. The reports required under the AIDS (Control) Act 1987, the first of which will be submitted later this year, will contain figures on the number of positive results obtained from blood samples taken for the purposes of HIV antibody tests by facilities and services provided by district health authorities.
