HC Deb 26 May 1988 vol 134 c250W
Mr. Dalyell

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if, in view of the deterioration in the fabric of Linlithgow primary school, he will make funds available to Lothian region council's planned maintenance programme.

Mr. Michael Forsyth

Substantial resources have been made available to Lothian regional council for both current and capital expenditure on the maintenance of school buildings in the current financial year. It is for the regional council itself to determine its own priorities for allocating these resources, and I understand that the council is now making arrangements for necessary repairs to be carried out at Linlithgow primary school.
