Mr. Hood

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what, for each year since 1975, was the percentage change in the balance of trade in manufacturing goods of Belgium, Denmark, France, Holland, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, West Germany and Japan.

As the sign of the balance can vary from year to year, it is not appropriate to measure changes in the balance of trade in percentage terms. The balances in US dollars are in the table:

of the total budget; and what they were in cash terms.
