Mr. Squire

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the total rateable value grant-related expenditure assessment from 1981–82, population, total expenditure and rateable value per head, in total, for local authorities in each economic planning

2.In calculation whether an authority spent above or below the expenditure guidance (or target) issued to it, no account has been taken of any amounts or descriptions of total expenditure disregarded for the purpose of calculating liability to grant abatement ("holdback").

3.For 1986–87 and later years no expenditure targets were set.
