To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what representations he has made to the Swiss Government on the subject of barriers to share ownership by United Kingdom companies and individuals in Swiss companies; and if he will make a statement.

There have been no representations on this specific issue, but discussions between the Community and EFTA countries cover a wide range of trade issues, including the impact of the single market 1992 campaign.
