HC Deb 11 May 1988 vol 133 c113W
Mr. Darling

To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will list the countries currently under contract to send spent thermal oxide fuel to Sellafield for reprocessing in the mid-1990s.

Mr. Michael Spicer

The countries which have thermal oxide reprocessing contracts with British Nuclear Fuels plc which still have to send fuel to Seltafield for reprocessing in the new thermal oxide reprocessing plant are the Netherlands, the Federal Republic of Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Japan. BNFL also has fuel for reprocessing from Canada, Sweden and Spain which has already been delivered.
